Time tracking

Track the work. Keep the context.

Use a timer, add time manually, or review a proposal. Every saved entry stays connected to its client, project, tags, billable state, and privacy.

Timegeist is a complete time record first. AI is an optional starting point, not a requirement for keeping an accurate week.

Human work, structured carefully

See a workday become a usable record.

Start the timer or add the facts directly, then keep the context attached to the time.

What stays connected

Less cleanup at the end of the month.

Day · week · month

A week you can actually edit

Review daily and weekly time, adjust dates or duration, and keep incomplete work visible before it reaches a report.

Clients · projects · tasks · tags

Work has a proper home

Organize entries by client, project, task, and tag instead of repairing a flat list at invoice time.

Visible · duration only · private

Privacy belongs to the entry

Choose workspace-visible, duration-only, or private for each entry so the record fits the work.

The flow

One decision at a time.

  1. Start

    Use the fastest input

Run the timer, add an entry manually, or start from a proposal.

  2. Structure

    Add the business context

Choose the client, project, billable status, tags, and privacy. Configured rates price the entry separately.

  3. Review

    Finish with a clean record

Correct the entry while the work is still fresh, then let reports and invoices reuse it.

Product boundary

Timers and manual entries do not count toward your AI allowance. A useful proposal or answer, saved screenshot proposals, or a saved manual Coach insight counts as one AI use.

FAQ

Questions about time tracking.

How the workflow behaves before you make it part of your day.

Can I track time without a timer?

Yes. Add an entry manually, reconstruct it from a message or screenshot, or import a Google Calendar event as a proposal.

Can I edit a running or saved entry?

While a timer runs, you can update its work context. After saving, dates, times, duration, project, client, billable status, description, tags, and privacy remain editable. Rates are configured separately.

How is time organized?

Entries are grouped by workspace, project, and client, with tags and billable status available for reporting and export.

Does the Free plan include manual tracking?

Yes. Manual tracking, unlimited projects, reports, and PDF and CSV exports are included in Free.
