Timegeist

Security

Control is part of the data model.

Timegeist is designed around explicit inputs, reviewable proposals, visible roles, and privacy choices that remain attached to the entry.

No software can promise absolute security. These are the concrete product boundaries and operating practices we use today.

Product controls

Privacy is not a footer promise.

Entry-level privacy

Choose workspace-visible, duration-only, or private when you confirm an entry.

Scoped access

Workspace roles, tenant-level data policies, and restricted server credentials bound access.

Purpose-limited processing

Inputs are processed to provide the feature you invoke, with retention described in the privacy notice.

Human confirmation

AI output stays separate from confirmed time until you review the proposed fields.

Calendar access is optional and read-only.

Google Calendar events can become proposals. Timegeist does not edit your calendar, and disconnecting stops future sync.

For provider details, retention, international transfers, rights, and deletion, read the privacy notice.

Responsible disclosure

Report a security issue directly.

Good-faith reports help protect everyone using Timegeist.

If you believe you found a vulnerability, account takeover, cross-workspace data exposure, or abusive use, email support@timegeist.ai with “Timegeist security report” in the subject.

Do not access another person's data, disrupt the service, run destructive tests, or publish sensitive details before we can investigate. We will acknowledge a good-faith report and coordinate a responsible resolution. This is not a bug-bounty promise.

FAQ

Security questions, answered.

Clear details for the decision in front of you.

Does AI output become recorded time automatically?

No. AI output remains a proposal until you review and confirm it.

What do entry privacy levels do?

Workspace-visible entries show details to authorized members, duration-only entries hide descriptive content, and private entries remain visible only to their owner.

Can Timegeist change my Google Calendar?

No. Calendar access is read-only and is used to create proposals for review.

How do I report a vulnerability?

Email support@timegeist.ai with “Timegeist security report” in the subject. Do not access another person's data, disrupt the service, run destructive tests, or publish sensitive details before investigation.

Does Timegeist guarantee absolute security?

No system can. Timegeist describes the concrete controls currently used without claiming that risk is eliminated.
